Morris Academy

We're here to help ease the burden parents carry regarding their child's education with a flexibility that is hard to find in most private schools and ISP's. We are here to help the parent, not hinder them.

Morris Academy is a private school with an affidavit on file with the California Department of Education. Servicing families formally affiliated with Country Christian School since 1996, Morris Academy is expanding to include an ISP Curriculum and will continue our ISP online Recordkeeping Program for homeschooling families across California.

What We Offer...

ISP Recordkeeping Program:

Our belief in parental teaching stems from this: Every parent has a unique style and the perfect ability to teach their children, often supplying a home education far superior and safer than both public and private schools. However, keeping track of academic and attendance, dealing with school districts, as well as providing transcripts and diplomas may not be something a parent wishes to engage in. We take care of these issues for you through our Recordkeeping Program.

Our online forms allow parents to enroll and complete all necessary paperwork online. The quarterly reports parents submit showing academic grades and total days of attendance are due every 10 weeks and are available for instant submission online, making your reporting responsibility extremely easy.

Use any curriculum you like, or a combination. Each home educating family is unique and their teaching methods, supplies and curriculum will be different. This is one of the greatest blessings of home education. The required subjects need to be taught, but feel free to use what works best for you.

About the Tutoring Program:

For parents who are unsure of educating their child alone or want a more structured option for homeschooling, we plan to provide this through our ISP Curriculum and Tutoring Program under which students will meet with their tutors for 1-2 hours each Saturday on a scheduled basis.

Costs: For all programs, a registration/setup fee of $40.00 per family is due at the time of enrollment.

For the ISP Curriculum with record-keeping function our low fee is $25.00 per month (this is per FAMILY, not per child). If you prefer, you may make a one-time payment of $250.00 for the standard 10-month academic year.

NOTE: For families who elect to teach on a full 12-month academic year basis, the program fee total for the year will be $300. Tuition for the optional Tutoring Program, if selected, will be $100.00 per month per student and includes all supplies, books and materials.

Additional Benefits with Morris Academy:

Christian-based but Non-denominational: We are a conservative Christian-based school and business. We do not present any specific Christian denomination as we believe this is the parent's role at home, to shepherd their children according to their own spiritual beliefs.

Open Enrollment Year Round for Grades 1-12: Kindergarten is not legally required by the State of California, so we begin record keeping in Grade 1.

No Hidden Fees

We Offer the Following Payment Options:

  • Check
  • Money Order
  • PayPal Payments
  • Payments received after the 15th of the month incur a $5.00 late fee for each week overdue.

Help with Missing CUM Files or Transcripts: If you have not kept a CUM file or transcripts for your children, we can help you create them. One of the most common questions we receive is how to make up for missing years of academic recordkeeping. Although we cannot put our name to the records, when you enroll, for a nominal fee we will walk you through the process of creating a professional looking CUM file complete with transcripts for the years you educated your child without an ISP. This is especially important if you have a child preparing for college enrollment.

Diploma's Are Provided for 6th, 8th, and 12th Grade Graduates: We also supply duplicate transcripts in sealed envelopes to be sent by certified mail to colleges, universities, the military or for employment purposes at a nominal fee ($10 per transcript).

No Meetings to Attend: Unlike many church affiliated ISP's, Morris Academy does not require the parent to take any special classes, nor do we require any special orientation or monthly meetings. We also do not require the family to be affiliated with any specific church.

Learning Disabled and Special Needs Students are Welcome! Learning disabled and special needs students may be challenging, but with the right approach they can excel beyond their label and diagnosis. No one can stop a child when they want to learn!
